2023-2024 Service Projects

September: 

Student Council selects the dress up days and themes for Homecoming week. Members promote participation with their peers. 

October: 

Boo Grams is a fundraiser that occurs prior to Halloween which raises money so that student council can fund future projects. We sell slips of paper that have a piece of candy attached to it that is sent out to the person who the Boo Gram was bought for on the nearest school day to Halloween.

Red Ribbon Week 

Occurring October 23-31st is Red Ribbon Week. The Goal of this week is to bring awareness, advocacy, and resources to drug prevention. 

November: 

Bracelets sold benefiting wounded veterans. 

December: 

Student council sponsors RMS students in need in acquiring essentials (coats, gloves, shoes, etc.) needed for winter months. 

February: 

In February, we sold val-o-grams. For this fundraiser, a friend can buy a carnation and a small card with a message on it to be sent out the nearest school day to Valentines Day. This fundraiser raises money so that Student Council can fund Future Projects.  

Occurring February 11-15th, this is a week long celebration of Kindness. Members give examples of kind actions on the morning announcements. 

March: 

Food drive benefiting student food pantry as a Student Council group.

April: 

Teacher treat bags or cards to show our appreciation to the teachers and staff at Rockvale Middle. 

May: 

Celebrating a successful school year of Student Council, members are treated with an ice cream party!
