Grading Policies

Parents and students,

In my classroom, student growth is more valuable than grades. Therefore, students always will have the opportunity to improve their essay grades. However, there will be no test or quiz redo opportunities.

Grade updates:

Check Jupiter for all grades.

Late work:

I do not subtract points for late work.
After the due date, the student must turn the assignment in and notify me. It is the student's responsibility.
Missing work will receive a missing mark (0%) in Jupiter until the student has turned it in.
Incomplete work will remain incomplete (50%) in Jupiter until the student has completed it.

Grading cut-off dates:

No late assignments will be accepted fewer than 72 hours before report cards.

Grading methods:

All assignments will be graded according to TN rubrics and variations thereof.
