Welcome to room 606 science!
I am SUPER EXCITED to be back to school!
This is my 21st year of teaching, most of which have been 6th grade science or social studies. Your 6th grade year is going to be awesome! I can't wait to get to meet each of you!
We will be working over the next week or so to get you logged into our applications and used to using Jupiter, our AMAZING assignment/grades/communication platform.

ABOUT MRS. WOODS
I literally love teaching! As I grew up, I had so many teachers that I admired and looked up to. I had always wanted to become a teacher as well and set my sights on it, working hard to achieve my goal. In 1997 I graduated from Wright State University in Fairview, Ohio with my Bachelor's in Education. I taught in Ohio for many years, and eventually went back to school to earn my Master's in Education from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
I have taught mainly 6th grade science, but also have taught social studies, science and math at several grade middle school grade levels.
We moved to Tennessee in 2013 and love Murfreesboro and all it has to offer!
I have been married for 26 years to Mr. Woods and we have three lovely daughters ages 24, 16 and 16 (twins).
When I am not planning lessons, I enjoy reading books about nature, traveling, baking (but NOT cooking!) and spending time with my family and animals. I have 4 dogs and a cat. Places you'd be most likely to run into me: Stones River Battlefield, BoroBowls, Strike and Spare, Toot's, Target and Painted Tree!
