The purpose of Art Club is to give students the time, space, and encouragement to explore their own artistic passions. This year, each student will choose a personal art project or theme to work on across our 12 meetings. The focus is on commitment, creativity, and growth over time rather than short assignments.
Because our time together is limited, members must arrive ready to use each meeting to make meaningful progress. This is not a social club, students are expected to work, respect one another, and show responsibility with art materials.
Membership & Application Process
- Art Club is limited to 15 students per grade group (15 spots for 6th grade, 15 for 7th/8th).
- Students must be in good academic and behavioral standing. If you have been disciplined this year, you will not be eligible.
- Applications must include:
1. Personal Project Proposal – On the application, you will draw and describe your project idea. This should outline what you plan to work on over the 12 sessions.
2. Two Teacher Recommendations – Teachers will submit these directly to Mrs. Jones.
- Only students who submit a complete application, with a clear project plan and teacher recommendations, will be considered.
- There is a $5 supply fee due upon acceptance.
- Attendance is required at all meetings:
• 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month.
