Welcome to the RMS Archery Page!
Hi! I'm Coach Parsley!

- There will be tryouts for the 2025-26 school year, and the team will be limited to 30 archers.
- We will have bullseye practice in the cafeteria from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 3D practice in the cafeteria on Fridays from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (only for 3D team). Unless otherwise instructed, archers are expected to report to the cafeteria at "All Remaining."
- Parents are expected to pick up their children at 5:00 in the back of the school.
- Practices are cancelled if school is dismissed early or not in session for any reason.
- Communication will be via Jupiter and GroupMe. Parents and archers are expected to read all messages.
- Tournaments are held periodically during the season. Dates and times are posted under the "Tournament Dates" tab.
- Archers with long hair should either wear it up or in a ponytail. Only close-toed shoes are allowed while on the archery range.
- School dress code applies to practice and tournaments.
- Grades of C or higher are required to join and stay on the archery team. Archers with one or more failing grades will not be considered for initial membership and archers with failing grades will not be allowed to participate in archery until all grades are passing.
- Appropriate behavior is expected. This applies on and off the range. Parents will be notified via Jupiter if there are any concerns about their child's behavior.
- All archers are expected to help set up the range and clean up after practice. With everyone's assistance, this typically takes 10 - 15 minutes.
- Final Forms is REQUIRED by our Athletic Director. No one will be able to participate without creating a Final Forms account. The profile must be 100% complete before archers allowed to try out.
- All equipment is provided. However, for those individuals looking to purchase their own bow... the Matthews Genesis Original is the ONLY bow approved by NASP. The only arrows approved are Easton 1820.
We will score most practices just as if we were in a tournament. At the end of the first semester, the coaches will review practice attendance, tournament attendance, score cards, and discuss other factors. Using that information, we will determine the State Tournament Team, which will consist of the Top 24 archers and 4 Alternates. The team members will be announced in February.
